2019 College Scholarships

The LPEF is pleased to announce the availability of 31 scholarships totaling over $25,000 allocated for Lake Park High School seniors in the class of 2019. Scholarship materials are available on the scholarship website .
Scholarship applications are due Friday, March 8, 2019  to the Career Center at Lake Park West Campus
Celebrating our 2019 Spirit of Excellence Honorees
Distinguished alumni, students and staff will be honored at the 11th annual  Lake Park Spirit of Excellence Celebration Dinner  on Thursday, April 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  at the Medinah Shriners Banquet center. The Lake Park High School Educational Foundation established the award program to honor excellence at Lake Park High School.

Twenty-six seniors are being recognized for their service, extraordinary effort, achievement and leadership throughout their high school years. These students were selected because they possess qualities for other students to emulate and have achieved special accomplishments in addition to their academic success while at Lake Park.

The following seniors will be receiving the Lake Park Spirit of Excellence Award:  Sarah Abraham, Carly Borre, Alicia Boryszewski, Michaela Brant, Seth Caines, Maeve Casey, Jesslyn Cohen, Clarissa Consoli, Max Ellenbecker, Quinn Fulmer, Christiana Gatbunton, Alex Huang, Sydney Jones, Claudia Mika, Noelle Nelson, Narek Ohanyan, Nina Pasquini, Aayush Patel, Christopher Petit, Abigail Rodriguez, Kathryn Roll, Brook Schenck, Isabella Sgarbossa, Andrew Steetz, Carly Vehrs, and Sophia Zoltek.

The two staff members receiving the Spirit of Excellence Awards are Taylor Severino and Kristen Olsen . Taylor and Kristen were nominated by colleagues for demonstrating excellence at Lake Park and within the community, inspiring others to contribute to the school, providing a special service to enhance their department, and demonstrating care, concern and passion to students and colleagues.

The following distinguished alumni will be recognized at the Spirit of Excellence Awards Program for their outstanding career achievements and accomplishments in life:  Dr. Rexanne Struve (Class of 1968), Dr. Rena Szabo (Class of 1987) and Angela Rose (Class of 1996).
Save the Date - LPEF Golf Outing
Wednesday, July 12, 2019
The 2019 LPEF Golf Classic will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Bloomingdale Golf Club. This fun event is great for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy a great round of golf while supporting Lake Park.

The day includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, light breakfast, lunch on the course, and a cookout dinner afterwards.

We are currently looking for sponsors to help us create a memorial event. Please contact Becky Wyatt for more information.

Flags for Roselle - Subscriptions Available
Residents of Roselle can take part in the Flags for Roselle Program. Your annual subscription of $50 includes installation in your front yard of a 3x5-foot American flag on five holidays: Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Patriots Day and Vetran's Day.

Students and volunteers will install the flags early in the morning and remove them at dusk the same day. If you are interested in participating, please visit the Flags for Roselle website .

Proceeds for this program will be shared by the Roselle Historical Foundation, The Roselle American Legion Charitable Foundation, the Boy and Girl Scouts of Roselle and the Lake Park Educational Foundation .
