Vote Saturday, May 3 FOR Lake Pointe MUD Prop A Bond
The Lake Pointe HOA Board unanimously supports the Lake Pointe MUD Prop A bond.
Here's why:
- Nobody likes to pay more taxes, we get it. But, you get what you pay for. We believe the MUD's $8 million bond will benefit our WHOLE Lake Pointe community for decades to come.
- Help us keep HOA dues low so we can use that money for pickleball courts and other new community programs that our neighbors tell us they want.
- Our Lake Pointe is showing its age. That's what we heard from several local realtors who sell Lake Pointe. "It looks tired." "It needs a more cohesive common area design to compete with newer neighborhoods." We fully support the new rock walls and entrance monuments. No more piecemeal updates. Let's get the job done.
- If the bond doesn't pass, the HOA will only be able to replace the wood fences on Sonoma and Resaca with new costly and maintenance-intensive wood fences. Our main neighborhood avenues will continue to look dated and cost us more money to simply maintain the current status quo. Wood costs have more than doubled in the past ten years, so the HOA will likely need to raise dues to pay for wood fence replacement.
- The bond projects will be completed in 18 months, so we can ALL enjoy them as we pay them off, instead of paying for them in HOA dues and seeing results after several years.
- The proposed enhancements will increase our resale values for a long time to come. Let's make Lake Pointe an even better place to live!
- REMINDER: Tomorrow the Pecan Street Festival is at the Hill Country Galleria. Parking will be a problem. Vote early (7-9am) or consider voting at a different precinct to make it easier. Click HERE for a list of polling sites.

Pedestrian-friendly riders
Hey riders! Whether you're on an electric scooter, bike, or skateboard, follow these tips for a safe and fun ride:
- Scoot, scoot! Give some room: always keep a clear path for pedestrians, ensuring at least 3 ft of space.
- Helmet safety: kids 17 and under, wear your helmets! Adults, lead by example and rock that helmet too.
- Mindful movers: be mindful of pedestrians, slow down, and be ready to stop. Use a bell or a friendly "On your left!" to let them know you're passing.
- Teach your tiny travelers: parents, become scooter senseis. Guide your kiddos in the art of sidewalk navigation and giving a heads-up when passing. Let's build a community of courteous riders.
