Lake Toho Boat Lock Closing Amid Dry Conditions
Water levels are too low for safe navigation

Shoaling is a navigation hazard.

WHAT: 
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission requested the South Florida Water Management District close the S-61 Boat Lock because of navigational safety concerns. The S-61 e nables boating navigation between Lake Tohopekaliga and Cypress Lake via the C-35 Canal in Osceola County.
 
WHEN: 
Closure is effective 7:30 p.m., Sunday, May 14.

The lock will reopen when conditions allow for safe navigation.
