The IION Research and Prototyping in Development (iRAPID) Program accelerates commercialization activities for innovative companies who need assistance with their Research & Development (R&D) projects during the pre-commercialization stage. The program will support up to 75% of eligible costs for contractor fees, materials or internal wages at one of three funding levels: $5,000, $7,500 or $10,000.

Deadline : The program as a continual intake process, with monthly reviews. The last day of every month is the submission deadline.

The Canadian Experiences Fund (CEF) is a national program delivered by FedNor in Northern Ontario. The CEF is part of the Government of Canada’s renewed efforts to support the tourism sector, which includes the new Federal Strategy on Jobs and Tourism.

Open to not-for-profit organizations to carry out tourism sector activities such as product and service planning, market readiness training, and creating or improving tourism facilities. Funding available up to 75% of eligible costs.

Guests arriving with Porter Airlines this summer can take the Explorers’ Edge Shuttle Service to one of many vacation destinations in the region. For those flying in or out of the region, the shuttle can be used to access any one of the 5 Designated Routes that span from Algonquin in the east to Georgian Bay in the west.

Route 4 travels through Lake of Bays to Algonquin Park.

A $10 fee per person per one-direction trip applies.
