Dr. Gardner released a letter with instructions to businesses on September 1, 2021. This letter replaces all prior letters of instruction issued by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to businesses and organizations within Simcoe and Muskoka. In addition, Dr. Gardner released recommendations for Workplace COVID-19 Vaccination Policies.

Beginning September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain higher-risk settings. Read the news release

Once again this fall we will be promoting the Lake of Bays Scenic Drive. It’s a self-guided 80 km driving loop with stops in the charming hamlets of Baysville, Dwight, and Dorset. The Scenic Drive offers spectacular views of lakes, rock cuts, and magnificent fall colours in September and October.

A map is available on the scenic drive page on the Township website and a social media campaign will be launched on September 10 to promote the route.

This is a great tool to encourage people to support local businesses around the Township so please like/share and comment on the posts to promote YOUR business.

In October 2019, Destination Ontario (Ontario Travel) sent a photographer and videographer to capture the beauty of Fall in Lake of Bays.
