A Common Vision for Increasing Physical Activity and Reducing Sedentary Living in Canada: Let's Get Moving is the first-ever call to action of its kind in Canada.

Never before has Canada had a singular policy focus on physical activity and its relationship to sport, recreation, health, as well as other relevant policy areas. What's more, this document also addresses the critical issue of sedentary living. It is a new, collective way forward that will guide the country towards ways of increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary living in Canada. It is a national policy document that is intended to move the country.

QUEST 2 Assessments - Ensuring Quality Summer Programming

If you are interested in having a High FiveĀ® QUEST 2 assessment done for your summer program, this is a service that the Lakeland District would be happy to provide. There are many benefits to having a QUEST 2 assessment done on your program. Please note that your staff do not have to be trained in High FiveĀ® for you to have a QUEST 2 assessment conducted at your program.

The tool is used to:
* Accurately assess the quality of your children's programs using evidence-based indicators
* Find opportunities for staff development and nurturing expertise in healthy child development
* Identify and fill gaps in knowledge and operations, enhancing the holistic quality of your program offering

If you are interested in having an assessment done on your program, please contact Bethany Dick to set up a date after July 23rd.
