LDSCR Summer Hours

Have you heard that not only is it "June is Parks and Rec Month" but this year, June 18-24 is Recreation Professionals Week in Saskatchewan!

We're halfway through June and setting plans for Summer fun in the sun! Please note that the Prince Albert office will be closed to the public July 6-15, during the World Junior Men's Softball Championships.

Throughout the summer, staff will be working varied office hours as staff go on holidays and community visitations take place. If you would like to request summer visitations please contact us as soon as possible. We look forward to all the successful programs and community events schedule throughout the District. We want to remind all the hard working Culture, Recreation, Sport and summer staff to take time to enjoy their own Summer activities.

Play, have fun and best of luck with all your community services!

A Common Vision for Increasing Physical Activity and Reducing Sedentary Living in Canada: Let's Get Moving is the first-ever call to action of its kind in Canada.

Never before has Canada had a singular policy focus on physical activity and its relationship to sport, recreation, health, as well as other relevant policy areas. What's more, this document also addresses the critical issue of sedentary living. It is a new, collective way forward that will guide the country towards ways of increasing physical activity and reducing sedentary living in Canada. It is a national policy document that is intended to move the country.
