LSSU Commencement 2016 - Be Flawsome!
The sun shone on Lake State's
Commencement as nearly 500 students walked the stage to receive their degrees. Commencement speaker and Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack, honorary doctorate recipient and award-winning author Erik Qualman, and student respondent Trace Hill, of Roscommon, all told LSSU's graduating class members that there is much to be learned by failing in some of things they do. English professor and published author Janice Repka was presented with the
2016 Distinguished Teacher Award.
See general Commencement photos here.
855 people watched Commencement via live streaming video. Of those, 613 were in Michigan, 193 in 27 other U.S. states, and there were additional views in Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Australia, Bahrain, Japan, South Korea, Laos and Mexico. Watch it here.
