Book festival and kids writing competition at LSSU November 19
The fifth annual
Superior Children's Book Festival
will be 11 am to 3 pm Saturday in the Walker Cisler Center. It is free and open to families, educators, authors, and kids of all ages. Follow "Superior Children's Book Festival" on
Higher Learning Commission Reaccreditation
was recently completed by an HLC peer review team, whose role was to validate the claims made in
LSSU's Assurance Agreement
. Universities are evaluated for a reaccreditation regularly. The focus is primarily academic, and criteria considered are: Mission, Integrity; Teaching and Learning; and Strategic Planning and Effectiveness. A final report and recommendation will be received from the HLC in several months.
Lake State Dance Theatre presents concert November
re.action: a story of us
will be presented Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm in LSSU's Arts Center. Tickets are available online or by calling the Arts Center box office, 906-635-2602.
LSSU Choir and Band perform Sunday, November 20
of LSSU's Chamber and Community Choir and the LSSU Band will be in the Arts Center Auditorium Sunday, November 20 at 4:00 pm. Admission is by donation.
Irish Christmas in America November 29
Irish music, song and dance in an engaging performance rich in history, humour and boundless energy at LSSU's Art's Center.
Joe Cohee '99,
joined the prestigious ranks of the International Nurses Association. Joe is serving patients as an RN Hospital Supervisor at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.
Justin Hester '08,
was promoted to Senior Researcher at the loT Lab, Advanced Engineering Center for Hirotec.
Taylor Jones '16,
has moved to Montana to volunteer with Americorps. She will be working with Riverstone Health to lead Youth Mental Health First Aid classes.
