Dear fellow alumni -
The September Laker Legacy Newsletter is a special edition...the Homecoming Weekend version! With our biggest annual alumni gathering just 3 weeks away, I want to take this opportunity to give you a deep dive into all of the necessary details for the weekend.
Since January, I have been working closely with groups who are celebrating an anniversary - this month I am meeting almost weekly with the Class of 1975 Committee who have been hard at work encouraging their classmates to register for their "golden anniversary." Several other anniversary groups are doing the same and the registrations and excitement are contagious!
Whether it's a special anniversary year or just an annual Homecoming for you, we are ready to make it a very memorable time for all. To date, we are just under 700 registered guests!
In today's newsletter you will find details on anniversary celebrations, hotel need to know, schedule highlights, and academic + athletic specialty gathering plans.
If you cannot make it back for this year's Homecoming, I hope you will save the date for our Centennial Homecoming next year, Sept. 18-19-20. If you need an extra special reason to head home to the Hurst...let our Centennial be the reason - it will be the biggest celebration in Mercyhurst history!
I look forward to seeing many of you very soon - Carpe Diem!
-Lindsay
