It's been an exciting start to March here at the Hurst and today marks a major moment for athletics as our Men's Basketball Team competes for the NEC Championship!

Here are four MERCYHURST ways to take on the month of March:

🏀 Cheer on the Lakers - TONIGHT the Men's Basketball Team will play against Long Island University in Brooklyn for the NEC Championship! Later this week, on Thursday, the Women's Basketball Team plays at home for the semifinals also against Long Island University! Cheer on the Lakers during this historic year of success as Division 1 in the NEC!


☘️ Wear green on March 17, Saint Patrick's Day, and give a nod to the origins of the Sisters of Mercy who originated on Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland.

❤️Give back on Wednesday, March 25, our annual Giving Day - share the word, show your support, and follow along for the 24-hour excitement.

1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ Mark your calendars NOW for the most exciting year of Centennial celebrations! Launching at Graduation 2026, everything for the year will be a part of our festivities, with Homecoming Weekend set for Sept. 18-20, 2026!

Register by April 30 to submit a piece for the show. Artists will celebrate the grand opening of the show during Homecoming Weekend, Sept. 18-20, 2026.

Teaching Excellence Award Nominations

Students, alumni, and faculty are encouraged to submit nominations for the annual Teaching Excellence Award. Since its establishment in 1990, this award has honored those who go above and beyond in contributing to the intellectual growth of Mercyhurst students. All nominations are due by Wednesday, April 1.
