Thank you to the Laker families who have already expressed interest in our new bus transportation program!

As we move forward with planning for an August 2026 launch, we are asking all interested families to complete the WPS Bus Transportation Commitment Form by Tuesday, June 30. Responses will help determine final routes, stop locations, and service availability.

Learn more about the new program here.

Please join us on Monday, July 20 at 5:30 p.m. for “Meet the Lakers” in the Lakers Gymnasium. This event provides an opportunity for families to meet our coaches and members of the Athletics Department, learn about our programs, and prepare for the upcoming school year. Parents are welcome to attend with or without their student-athlete.

Please also save the date for WPS Athletics Physical Day on Monday, August 10 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. in the Lakers Gymnasium. Representatives from Orlando Health and Who We Play For will be on campus to assist student-athletes with completing their required athletic physical and ECG screening, helping them prepare for participation in WPS Athletics.

Athletic Participation Requirements:

To participate in athletics at Windermere Prep, all student-athletes must complete and upload the required Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and school documentation through the Magnus Health Portal prior to the first day of tryouts.

Parents/guardians must indicate that their student will participate in athletics under the "Conditional Questions" section of Magnus to access the full list of athletic requirements.

Required for All Student-Athletes

The following items must be completed and submitted through Magnus Health:

WPS Athletics Handbook Acknowledgment

Parents/guardians must confirm that both they and their student-athlete have reviewed and agree to the WPS Athletics Handbook. This acknowledgment is required annually.

Additional Requirements

High School Student-Athletes (Grades 9-12):

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) Results
  • Required for all high school athletes.
  • ECG documentation remains valid for four years unless otherwise directed by a healthcare provider.
  • Recommended, but not required, for middle school student-athletes.

New Students:

International Student-Athletes:

Additional forms will become available in Magnus once a student is identified as an international athlete. Required documentation must be submitted at least two weeks prior to tryouts, along with all required immigration and academic documentation.

Please note that all international athletic participation must be approved by the Florida High School Athletic Association, which limits athletic eligibility to four consecutive years from a student's initial enrollment in 9th grade.

All required forms and resources can be found within the Magnus Health Portal and on the WPS Athletics website.

As artificial intelligence becomes a bigger part of everyday life, you might be asking yourself: how will this shape my child’s future? At Windermere Prep, we believe AI should enhance learning, not replace thinking. That’s why our expert teachers focus on developing the human skills that matter most, like creativity, critical thinking, independence, and sound judgement.

Supported by global research across Nord Anglia Education, including studies with world-leading academic partners, we help your child learn not just how to use AI, but when and why to use it. In a world shaped by technology, the greatest advantage your child can have is the ability to think for themselves.
