Thank you to our more than 200 Volunteer Corps Members!
On behalf of Lakeside Chautauqua and the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation, we want to take a moment to celebrate our now more than 200 Volunteer Corps members! Lakesiders have truly stepped up this summer to help fill the gap of decreased labor in Lakeside. We're extremely appreciative for all that you do, especially as so many of you have exceeded expectations and raised the bar on what it means to volunteer at Lakeside. Let's give a round of applause to YOU!

Hoover Auditorium Doors
Even though we aren't able to enjoy Lakeside's wonderful arts programming at Hoover Auditorium this summer, we still want to share our appreciation for the volunteers who are dedicating their time to refurbish its exterior.
"The Lakeside staff is extremely grateful to the many Lakesiders who have stepped up to volunteer for special projects this summer. And I'm particularly thankful for the Men's Bible Study group for taking on the job of painting the exterior doors of Hoover Auditorium. We appreciate their assistance in caring for this important historic structure. The doors look great - way to go! Thank you, Men's Bible Study!" - Shirley Stary, Vice President of Arts Programming

Weeding around the Grounds
For many of us, our childhood was spent helping out with family chores. In particular, weeding was often the less favorable task. While it may not be the most glamorous activity, we learn as we grow older how weeding is necessary to gardening: weeds rob the soil and plants of important nutrients and water.
Volunteer Corps members have done a fantastic job dedicating their efforts to weeding around Lakeside. Thank you to all who are giving their time and labor to making sure Lakeside's gardens are cleared and ready for new flowers to bloom.
