We’re so thankful for your hard work and want to recognize your efforts. Therefore, we're highlighting different volunteers and projects each week. Please share your photos with us so YOU can be featured; e mail communications@lakesideohio.com .

On June 27, more than 30 volunteers answered the call to help beautify the Memorial Garden at Chautauqua Park and around the Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus. Volunteers raked, spread and placed new mulch. We're grateful to those who are working hard to ensure that these grounds are beautiful for all to enjoy. Thank you!

Volunteers finished the cleanup of Cherry Park and the Campground Park this week by re-staining the wood. Special thanks to Greg and Darby Buehler for the generous stain donation for the playground equipment. Because of the volunteers' hard work and the Buehlers' generous donation, the playgrounds will be safe, fun and clean for the children of Lakeside!

Upcoming Projects

Refurbishing Hotel Lakeside walls: A crew of volunteers are dedicating their time to strip wallpaper and repaint the walls in a variety of rooms at Hotel Lakeside this week. We're excited to see the finished product!

Hotel Lakeside screen doors: The front screen doors of Hotel Lakeside are also getting repainted. Thank you to all who are working hard to keep this beloved and historic hotel beautiful!

Volunteering FAQs

1. Start volunteering as soon as today! Your help is needed now across the grounds.

2. You're responsible for keeping track of your own hours.

3. Please wear your official Lakeside Chautauqua Volunteer Corps name badge and mask while volunteering.

4. Please use your own tools and equipment when possible. Lakeside tools and equipment can be borrowed if necessary, however, each department will have different rules regarding loaning tools and equipment. You will be informed of these rules upon volunteering.

5. Please visit the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation Office, located at 217 Walnut Ave., if you're unable to download and print the Volunteer Application. We will give you a physical copy of the application.
