Lakeside’s Weekend Scoop is dishing out upcoming events and specials across Lanier for the weekend of August 14-16, 2026. Highlights include crafts, exploring nature and a campfire and S’mores at Don Carter State Park; the water park and music at Margaritaville/Lanier Islands; the Splash Pad at Laurel Park; a 10.3-mile round-trip kayak/paddle excursion from Don Carter State Park down to the Lake Lanier Olympic Park hosted by the Atlanta Outdoor Club; and live music at lake restaurants.
