Merger Announcement
For all Customers
We are pleased to announce that ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc., parent company  of ChoiceOne Bank, and County Bank Corp., parent company of Lakestone Bank and T rust, signed a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which County Bank Corp. will  combine with ChoiceOne Financial Services, Inc. in a strategic merger of equals. The  transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2019, subject to the satisfaction of  customary closing conditions, including receipt of shareholder and regulatory approvals.

The merger will create an approximate $1.3 billion-asset bank holding company with 28  offices in West and Southeastern Michigan making it the 12 th largest bank holding  company in Michigan based on asset size.

Because of our separate, but similar markets, this combination will result in an  exceptional company that will allow us to expand our collective expertise and offer you  enhanced technology, more comprehensive services and an expanded network across  Michigan. It will also provide greater opportunities for us to invest in the local  communities we serve.

Steps that can prevent or deter email fraud schemes:
  1. Verify all changes in payment and financial information via phone or in person with a known and trusted individual.
  2. Employ dual factor authentication regarding changes in client or financial information.
  3. Consistently monitor IT systems for the presence of malware.
  4. Monitor and restrict the use of auto-forwarding and inbox sweep rules.
  5. If email systems are not working properly i.e. missing or not received emails, investigate immediately.
  6. Use a domain registration monitoring service to prevent the registration of spoofed domain names.

The 2019 Community Shred Days will take place on April 27 at the Main office in downtown Lapeer, May 18, at the Capac office and September 28 at the Imlay City office. Lakestone Shred Days are free to the community and run from 9 a.m. to noon or until the trucks are full.
