Thursday, September 1st   the Commission on Chicago Landmarks designated he Lakeview Avenue Row House District  (2700-2710 N. Lakeview Avenue)  as a Chicago Landmark District. 

These  four classic row houses will now join the landmarked Elks Memorial in preserving Lakeview Avenue from Wrightwood to Diversey. T hanks to the Diversey Harbor Lakeview Association, Park West Neighbors Association, Preservation Chicago, and enthusiastic residents at 2650 N. Lakeview for their hard work.

Qatar Airways Chicago Beach Polo Cup 2016

Live Concert in Oz Park

Enjoy a free   live concert  at Oz Park on  Friday, September 9th, beginning at 7:30 PM.    Hear local band  The Smoking Fish  and watch a  a group of Lincoln Elementary School seventh-graders in "The World's Okayest Band" before The Smoking Fish take the stage. Thanks to the Oz Park Advisory Council for sponsoring this family friendly concert.

Mid North Association Fall Block Party

Come out on  Sunday, September 11th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM  on Cleveland between Fullerton and Belden for the Mid-North Association Fall Block Party. There will be hot dogs, pretzels, beer, and live music. I hope you to see you and  your neighbors for a beautiful evening.

Notice of Public Meeting for Red and Purple Line Modernization

On  Tuesday, September 13th at 6:00 PM, the City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) will hold a public meeting at Sullivan Athletic Center, 2323 North Sheffield Ave for the purpose of discussing Red Line improvements and a proposed Transit Tax Increment Financing (TIF). This will include a presentation by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and DPD staff followed by a comment period, during which members of the public can ask questions or provide input about the Transit TIF.  For more background information, click here.
