Thank You for an Incredible Festival of the Arts Weekend!

This past weekend we held our 18th Annual Lakeview East Festival of the Arts! We had perfect weather, thousands of attendees, and bands that rocked the block. THANK YOU to our wonderful community for all the support and for making this event come alive. Your presence, your smiles, and your shared love for the arts turned our streets into a lively tapestry of creativity and unity. We are honored to be part of such a vibrant community, and we couldn't have done it without you. To our exceptional artists: You lit up the festival with your talent and dedication. Your artwork transformed Lakeview East into a vibrant gallery, making the event truly unforgettable. Thank you for your remarkable contributions. We can not wait for next year, but until then, we have plenty of neighborhood events to keep you engaged locally.

All the Fall Things

Who's ready to rock?! We're thrilled to present a meticulously crafted 5-course dinner, from ROCKS Lakeview where each dish is harmoniously paired with(or infused with!) a distinct beer from the renowned Old Irving Brewing Co. ROCKS is elevating the experience by having knowledgeable representatives from Old Irving grace the event. They'll be on hand to share the intricate details and thought processes behind each beer and food pairing, ensuring you understand and savor every sip and bite.

The Menu
Appetizer: A trio of dips served with a couple of soft baked pretzels and fried Saltines.
Old Irving Scentinel IPA beer cheese dip
A spicy dip made with Doji Hoppy Lager cream cheese, ranch mix, cheddar, roasted red peppers and haban.
A smoky dip made with Til Death Pilsner, cream cheese, blue cheese, smoked onions, scallions, jalapeños and dill weed.

Salad: A Cushy Mango Peach (fruited sour ale) infused dressing on grilled mango & peach, with cucumber, poblano & ancho peppers, arugula, and mint.

Entrée: Beer braised short ribs on ciabatta bread spread with sweet & hot stone ground mustard, braised onions, and smoked provolone.

Soup: Mexican pumpkin soup with roasted pumpkin, kidney beans, potatoes, onions, and jalapeños.

Dessert: A braided apple puff pastry with a beer caramel drizzle.

Dine Out on Broadway Returns September 22 - 24
Experience the finest outdoor dining with Dine Out On Broadway, featuring a selection of over 25 restaurants spanning from Belmont to Wellington! The September Dine Out is taking place on September 22-24.

Enjoy delightful weather (hoping for the best) coupled with exceptional cuisine! Our previous Dine Out event was back in July, and the upcoming one will mark the grand finale of this summer's series. Be sure to check out the new speakeasy and dessert shop O Mi as they make their Dine Out debut, and hit up Dong-Ne for some Korean cuisine!

This Dine Out on Broadway is hosting Alderman Bennett Lawson's 1st Annual Kids Bike Parade! On Saturday, the 23rd, meet at the corner of Belmont and Broadway at 9 am. The route will go to Broadway and Wellington and back! Helmets are mandatory to participate. Water and light refreshments will be provided.
The fun does NOT stop! There are lots of reasons to love Oktoberfest in Lakeview East, the Bratwurst, the never-ending beer, the GIANT pretzels…

Two Wrigley Restaurants Take Home the Crown at Wingout Chicago
Wingout Chicago unfolded at Gallagher Way on September 2nd and 3rd, where beloved Chicago establishments competed to determine Windy City's ultimate wing champion. Notably, two establishments from Wrigleyville secured a spot on the winners' roster (or should we say rooster).

Congratulations to our hometown winners! Located just a block away from each other, you can visit both Yak-zies and Almost Home Tavern on the same day, and can have your own wing fest amongst your friends!
You can now sip on hurricanes and eat gumbo outdoors, without traveling to New Orleans! NOLA Kitchen and Bar just opened up a spacious outdoor patio.
