Remembering Marco Nalls
Marco Nalls, longtime friend and colleague of the Chamber, passed away on October 16th
With a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our friend and colleague, Marco Nalls. Marco passed away suddenly in his sleep on October 16th at the age of 32. Marco has been a part of the chamber family for over five years, serving the community on our maintenance team & being the friendly face we all know, love, and could always count on. Marco was such a special, thoughtful man, who always went above and beyond to help others.

Everyone who knew him knew he was hard working and put his family & loved ones first in everything he did. Marco shares a special place in all of our lives, with close bonds to his family & friends, and is survived by his mother, Delores, young daughter Myesha, and his sister Mia, and his cousins who loved him endlessly. We send our unending support and love to his family in this incredibly difficult time.

Marco’s family could use extra support from the community at this time, as Marco was a father above all else and is survived by his young daughter Myesha. We are asking our community to extend their support to the family in this time of hardship. Please consider donating to this GoFundMe to support Marco’s family through this difficult time. Proceeds go directly to the family to support the cost of the funeral and any expenses they may have in the wake of his sudden passing.

There are no words to express how much Marco meant to our team and the Lakeview community, and he will be missed by so many.

Happy Cubs World Series Anniversary Day
It seems like just yesterday Clark street exploded in chants and cheers as the Chicago Cubs led the city to victory over the former Cleveland Indians. On October 26th, 2016, the Cubs broke their 108 year dry spell and the neighborhood erupted with singing, dancing, and life. While we look back at the day the city stopped, we are hopeful for a revival next year of our local MLB team.

Home Behind Wrigley Field Once On Market For $9.8 Million Could Become 4-Story Apartment Building
The 133 year old wood framed house on Kenmore is one of the last relics from the neighborhood and a developer would like to put a 4 story condo building in it's place. The house is so close to the field that Dave Kingman once landed his whopper of a home run on the front porch of the building across the street in 1978.
