Because we are having so much fun this summer, we are moving our dine out's around a bit to work around our other summer events. With so many dining and retail options on Broadway and Sheffield, we hope to keep supporting our neighborhood businesses with these events and are now bringing live entertainment to the streets!

We had such a great time last weekend at the Belmont Sheffield Music Fest last weekend. We wanted to extend a special thanks to our local vendors & artists that made this weekend so incredible.
From the handclapping and foot-stomping of Fletcher Rockwell to the groovy jams of Gizzae, we had a wide array of talented artists showcased this year who made our first year back better than ever.

The legendary Old Town School of Folk Music will host 45-minute morning music programs each Tuesday from July 6 through September 28 at 10 a.m. Following the music program, guests can enjoy a variety of family-friendly movies on the video board, starting at 11 a.m. each Tuesday.

French Market at Gallagher Way
Gallagher Way will host the French Market on select Thursday evenings from July 15 through September 30, starting at 4 p.m. The European-inspired market features 20 vendors, including a mixture of specialty foods, crafts and artisanal goods, along with live music and a new kid-friendly craft booth.

Fitness Series Presented by Advocate Health Care at Gallagher Way
Presented by Advocate Health Care, the Fitness Series at Gallagher Way kicks off July 5 and runs through September 29, with free weekly outdoor fitness classes for the community, including HIIT and Social Run Club with CrossTown Fitness, and Yoga with Five Keys Yoga.

New Labor Standards Implemented in Chicago
|
Effective July 1, 2021, the Chicago Minimum Wage has increased for all covered employees. The Minimum Wage has increased to either $14.00 or $15.00 per hour, depending on the number of workers at a business. For qualifying employers with 21 or more workers, the new Minimum Wage is now $15.00 per hour. For employers with four to 20 workers, the new Minimum Wage is $14.00.

What's on in the Belmont Theater District?
|
|
|
Just minutes from downtown in Chicago's Lakeview and Lakeview East neighborhoods, the Belmont Theater District is home to more than 50 theaters and hundreds of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance.
Amidst recent suspension of group gatherings and, thus, live performances, many Belmont District Theaters have opted into providing digital, remote and streaming programming for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

Hubbard Street Group is planning to redevelop the property located at the corner of Clark, Belmont and Halsted (3179 North Clark Street) into a two-story commercial development with underground parking. The property is currently improved with a two-story building occupied by Fifth Third Bank and a surface parking lot.
The project will be constructed on the entire footprint of the site and reach a maximum height of approximately 48 feet. The new development will include approximately 59,000 square feet of new retail / commercial space on two floors, including over 20,000 square feet of ground floor space along the approximately 295 feet of continuous retail frontage on Belmont Street.
The underground parking level will be accessed off of Clark Street, and loading will be accessed off of Halsted Street. The property is currently zoned B3-3 and B3-2, and the development will be built as-of-right with the existing zoning.
