New City Wide Mandates
Effective January 3, any individual age 5 and older will be required to show proof of vaccination to dine indoors, visit gyms, or enjoy entertainment venues where food or drink are being served.

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the City of Chicago has issued Public Health Order 2021-2, which requires certain establishments to verify that patrons are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Public Health Order will remain in effect until the City of Chicago is through this Omicron-driven surge and the risk of overwhelming hospital capacity has passed.

Lakeview East has a variety of locations offering the Covid-19 vaccine.

To find a vaccination location closest to you, please follow the button below.

Vaccine availability is subject to change. Appointments are required at most locations. Click a location with vaccine “In stock” to take the next step and schedule your appointment.

Steven Strauss, Owner of Sluggers, Passed Away
Wrigleyville has lost a legend. Steven Strauss of Sluggers has been so fundamental in creating the Wrigleyville we know today, supporting and building his neighborhood since 1985. He opened Sluggers in what was once an autobody garage and since then has helped make memories for millions of people visiting Chicago over the years. Whether he was offering a cold one to regulars at the bar or welcoming the Cubs Players after their world series win to have fun in the upstairs batting cages before the parade, we all have memories of this neighborhood institution because of Steven.
His legacy will truly live on in the neighborhood we all know and love because of his work throughout the years.
Statues Outside of Wrigleyville Moved to Make Room for Sports Book Construction
Statues of Ron Santo and Billy Williams were removed from their homes outside Wrigley Field on Monday to make room for a sports betting site at the corner of Addison and Sheffield.
Construction of the betting site will begin this winter and is slated for completion in 2023, Cubs spokesman Julian Green said.

What's on in the Belmont Theater District?
Just minutes from downtown in Chicago's Lakeview and Lakeview East neighborhoods, the Belmont Theater District is home to more than 50 theaters and hundreds of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance.

Amidst recent suspension of group gatherings and, thus, live performances, many Belmont District Theaters have opted into providing digital, remote and streaming programming for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.
Community Developments
3160 N. Broadway
Seminary Properties and Management, Ltd. is planning to redevelop the 3160-2 N Broadway property with a transit-oriented, mixed use development. The project consists of 17 units, 6 parking spaces, 17 bicycle parking spaces, and ground floor retail/commercial space. The building will be 4 stories with a partial 5th floor. The top floor is set back 15 feet from the Broadway property line and 60 feet from the rear property line. Floors 2 through 4 are also set back 30 feet from the rear property line.
In order to preserve the historic elements of the existing building, the existing terra cotta accents, sill courses, cornice and coping pieces will be reused in the façade of the proposed building. The remainder of the building will be masonry.
The developer will seek a Type 1 zoning change from the existing B3-2 to B3-3.
