Spread Hope this Holiday Season with Your Own Personal Message on the Lakeview East Tree of Hope
As the holidays approach, we look for hope for the future and spread our love to our families, friends, and community. This year, the Lakeview East Community Partnership would like to spread the love for our community by displaying your personal messages of hope on our Tree of Hope. Your message of hope could be sent to a person, business, or the Lakeview East community.

For a donation to the Lakeview East Community Partnership, your message will be displayed on an ornament on the Tree of Hope. Your donation helps support local nonprofits and brings programming to our community. To make a donation and write your message, click here!

Thank you to Walgreens at Broadway and Waveland for hosting the Tree of Hope!

90% of independent venues could close permanently if we all don't act NOW.

We join with NIVA - National Independent Venue Association in asking Congress to pass the #SaveOurStages Act as part of the next COVID relief package to provide critical funding to help independent venues survive. Even if you've done it before, take meaningful action again by contacting your local legislators in just 30 seconds at SaveOurStages.com.

Your voice matters - Tell your legislators to save independent music venues! Help us #SaveOurStages by telling Congress to ACT NOW!
What's On in the Belmont Theater District?
Just minutes from downtown in Chicago's Lakeview and Lakeview East neighborhoods, the Belmont Theater District is home to more than 50 theaters and hundreds of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance.

Amidst recent suspension of group gatherings and, thus, live performances, many Belmont District Theaters have opted into providing digital, remote and streaming programming for patrons to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes.

2021 Shared Cost Sidewalk Program
The Chicago Department of Transportation's 2021 Shared Cost Sidewalk Program will open to new applicants starting at 6:00 a.m. on January 11, 2021.

The Shared Cost Sidewalk Program is an extremely popular voluntary program in which property owners share the cost of sidewalk repair with the City. Thousands of Chicagoans have been a part of this popular program, taking advantage of the low cost, exceptional value and ease of participation.

The Shared Cost Sidewalk Program cost per square foot charged to property owners is well below what a private contractor would charge. Senior citizens and persons with disabilities may qualify for a further discounted rate. While the Department's program opens on January 11th, the Alderman's office is accepting contact information of interested applicants now.

If you are interested in taking part in this program, fill out the application and the Alderman's office will handle the rest when the program re-opens.

Should you have specific questions about this program, please contact Dionisios "Dan" Manoli at [email protected].
