Coach Wagner is an AAU certified coach, a fitness and personal trainer, who has a black belt and who has competed professionally. His programs incorporate many aspects from Taekwondo used in popular workouts today such as kick boxing, isometrics, self defense and others. These are presented in fun and energetic ways which, will help you get into shape while practicing real martial arts techniques. Class is customized for all fitness and skill levels.

BEGINNER PICKLEBALL: For the last several years, the sport of pickleball has been dubbed the “fastest growing sport in America.” One reason for it's popularity is that it is a fun sport for all ages and all levels of fitness. This beginner program was developed to help you learn the basic rules and drills of the game as well as swing, posture and stance. By learning the basics of play and the scoring system, you will fast become a fan yourself.
INTERMEDIATE PICKLEBALL: This class has been developed for those who already know the basics of the sport. Foundational skills will be reinforced but this class will allow for more competitive game play.

Dr. Arbeit has quite a life story…after a severe accident, he lived a portion of life filled with immobility and pain. He is very passionate about this program and attributes his current health and well-being to Tai Chi and Yoga, techniques which enhance the immune system, increase range of movement, and improve outlook of life both physically and mentally. There are several class times to choose from, so sign up today. Tuesday classes are held at the pavilion at City Park located at 502 Hurst Creek. All other classes are held at the Sculpture Garden located at the corner of Cross Creek and Lohmans Crossing at 104 Cross Creek and class is under the large oak tree.

Chair yoga helps provide a full vertebral workout from a chair! Chair yoga is recommended for folks recovering from injuries or who may have difficulty getting up and down off the floor. Many of the stretches and moves are useful for those who sit in front of their computer for long periods during the day. Regardless if you are maintaining health or trying to improve, chair yoga is a gentle and successful way to maintain proper alignment, balance and sense of well being. $12 members / $15 non-members per class

This program helps students of all ages explore how to unwind painful patterns, correct physical tightness or weakness, melt the grip of stress and generally improve functionality in daily life with minimal transitions to and from the floor. Coach Chaise has a BA in Public Communication and a MA in Business. She comes to Lakeway with plenty of experience in Adult and Youth programs. She is a NCAA Division II Golfer and First Tee Mentor. Her love for sports is essential as she has taught and/or refereed in areas ranging from Vacation Bible Schools, Skyhawks and YMCA each activity she has provided a wide variety of fun, safe and positive reinforcement that emphasize critical lessons in sports and life, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. Her programs are designed to give each child a positive introduction into sports while fostering a lifelong love for an active, healthy lifestyle. 6-10 years.

My Player 2 Player: MyPlayer2Player is based on a simple concept but has a multitude of benefits. Cool Arts Show & Studio Tour

Calling all Artists! The Cool Arts Party is back on August 21 from 1pm-5pm and will feature music and fine art work by local artisans . Deadline to sign up is August 1st, space is limited so sign up soon. The cost for a booth is only $25 but you must be a member of the Lakeway Activity Center to participate. Membership to the center is $80 for non-residents and $30 for Lakeway residents.

The City of Lakeway Arts Committee will be hosting a virtual concert series this June for Dr. Kiyoshi Tamagawa, a featured solo pianist in concert with the Austin Symphony. Audiences have consistently been impressed with not only his performing skills, but also the educational information he provides to his audience. His latest performance will be featured on the city's social media accounts as well as the video section on the homepage of Lakeway-tx.gov beginning June 27, 2021. The deadline to submit the Veterans name is August 15. A tax-deductible donation of $175 is required for each name to be engraved for WWll through Vietnam. Post-Vietnam fee is $245

Registration is now open for the next Lakeway Community Blood Drive, which will take place at the Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek) on Saturday, July 17 from 8 a.m. through noon. Registration is required for this event. While face coverings will not be required, there will be some available for those donors who would be more comfortable having one on during the donation process. Appointments may be scheduled by visiting this website: www.weareblood.org/donor and searching for Group Code A197.
