Lakewood Yacht Club to Host Annual Heald Bank Offshore Regatta
Seabrook, TX : Lakewood Yacht Club (LYC) and the Bay Access Foundation are excited to announce that Gulf Coast Mariner Magazine will be the Presenting Sponsor for the 2019 Heald Bank Race on June 28-29.

This offshore regatta will take place on the Gulf of Mexico with Spinnaker yachts sailing a triangular course of approximately 90 NM. Non-spinnaker boats will sail a two-leg course of approximately 60 NM. Sailors can also choose to participate in the more casual "Pirate Pursuit" option which will race Saturday on Galveston Bay.  

Interested racers may register at . The registration deadline is June 24 at 2300 .

The required fee for the $80 for the overnight offshore race. A $60 fee is required for the casual Saturday race. U.S. Sailing members will receive a $5 discount, and entry fees are payable by credit card or reciprocal club charge. Entry fee includes one Pirates' Pig Roast wristband and two drink tickets. This year's live entertainment will be provided by Jerry Diaz & Hanna's Reef .

"Last year's Buccaneer Bash sold out, so we are expecting another great turnout for the race and party this year," says Race Chair Bob Hunkins.
