Message from the Mayor

Hello everyone,

This week students and educators are preparing for the return to school. This may look different for everyone, with some students continuing at-home education, and others returning to the classroom setting. I wish you all the best as you begin your school year!

With school back in, please remember the safety of students, parents, bus drivers and crossing guards on the road. Please slow down, and stop for buses and crossing guards.

Now that the cooler fall weather has arrived, we can expect fewer visitors to our community. Supporting local businesses is more important than ever. Please take the time to explore our community and shop local.

With so much out of our control, we can control our own actions. Choose to be kind.

Stay healthy, safe and positive.

Mayor Bill
School Buses have returned to our roadways

Know the rules!
When driving on a road WITHOUT a median:
  • drivers travelling in both directions must stop for a stopped school bus with its upper red lights flashing.
  • when you approach the bus from the front, stop at a safe distance to let children get on or off the bus and cross the road.
  • don't move forward until the red lights have stopped flashing or the bus begins to move.
