Junior High Construction Update
At Thomas Ewing, outside concrete sidewalks and ramps continue to be poured while football field grading, parking lot paving and track paving are underway. Inside the building, drains, water fountains, audio-visual wiring, communication system electrical devices and alarm system devices are being installed. In the cafeteria section, the dining/auditorium floor is being polished while kitchen ceiling tile and ceramic tile are being installed. In the locker room, ceiling tile and ceramic tile are being installed. Restroom fixtures and ceiling tile are being installed in the main entrance section. In the two story classroom section, the hallway floor tile has been installed and sink fixtures are being installed on the first floor. On the second floor, hallway painting is complete.
At General Sherman, all of the classroom windows have been installed in both of the classroom sections of the building. In the main entrance section, the sprinkler system main line has been installed while concrete block masonry restroom chase walls are being installed. Exterior brick is being installed in the mechanical courtyard, air ducts are being installed in the gymnasium section, and electrical conduit has been installed in the kitchen. On the site, main entrance sidewalk grading, topsoil re-spreading is ongoing sidewalks have been poured between the sports field and electric conduit has been laid to the parking lot.
