Tallmadge Students Create Magnificent Things

Mrs. Barber's first graders have been working hard to identify classroom problems, and then creating solutions! As part of a classroom nodule, these students took the book The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires and have applied its message to an all-encompassing lesson that highlighted their creativity.
LCS Board Members Tour Thomas Ewing Site

Muddy boots and hard hats are a thing of the past at the new Thomas Ewing Junior High, as construction crews are now in the final phases of building. Members of the Lancaster City Schools' Board of Education toured the building before their latest board meeting and saw how the new school is coming together #theplacetobe

LHS senior Courtney Palmer must be one of the most laid-back students in the school, but beyond the calm demeanor, ombre hair, and nose ring this senior is one of the sharpest students in the STEM BioMed sequence and also has a flair for Latin! #theplacetobe #galesunited
Junior High Construction Update

At Thomas Ewing, the classrooms and hallways flooring is complete, ceiling tile is installed, furniture is being set up, paint touched up and audio/visual, communication, and security system installation continues. In the two story classroom section of the building, all plumbing fixtures, and doors are complete. Door installation is also complete in the single story classroom and main entrance sections. The entryway canopy is being installed and the gymnasium floor is being sanded and finished. Operable partitions are being installed for the stage and kitchen equipment is being installed. On the site, the courtyard is being prepared for concrete, road widening is underway, sidewalks are being caulked, the back parking lot is being striped, and the athletic field fencing is underway.

At General Sherman, the athletic storage building is complete while grading, topsoils spreading, sidewalk installation, paving, and curb installation continue on the site. Inside the building, the interior gas line is installed and has been tested and large glass panes are being installed. Ceiling hangers are being installed in both classroom sections of the building. Drywall installation and taping continues in the main entrance section. The main electrical room is being prepared and the kitchen sprinkler system has been installed.
