If you haven't already submitted your height and weight so a cap/gown/tassel/stole unit can be ordered for you at no charge, please do so at: https://www.mwscholastic.com/2021-laf-store and scroll to the bottom, to the box titled "CAPS & GOWNS". Make sure to include your student name and high school during the checkout process.

This month our college/career readiness team has been in full swing checking in and supporting our seniors. We know this is the time of year when many are finalizing their next steps pertaining to college and careers. Virtual Mentors, Counselors, and College/Career Coaches have been connecting with students and love hearing where they are in their own personal process.
Right around the corner is ACT testing. We are working hard to prepare and support students on the ACT Test, while also planning how/ when the test will be administered. More information on that to come.
Please keep in mind our LHS College/Career Center is open virtually and plans to continue support when we return into the building. Check out more info on the center below.

Hello Lancers,
MSCR continues to offer a variety of virtual programs for LHS students this winter. Please read below to learn more about some new or ongoing programs that are open for new students to join. Other programs will be added throughout the school year so stay tuned for more information.
MSCR is offering virtual academic tutoring by appointment using Zoom. Tutors and LHS teachers will be available by appointment during after school hours Monday-Friday.
MSCR invites any student who enjoys writing - fiction, poetry, scripts, short stories or whatever! - to join MSCR Creative Writing Club. Students will share work, get ideas, and learn from other writers. This club is open to all MMSD high school students. Interested students should complete this short registration form. MSCR is also partnering with the UW-Madison JVN Project to offer One Life spoken word workshop series. This group meets on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30 pm. MSCR is inviting all board game lovers to join our new online MSCR Board Game Arena. Students will meet on Zoom and play board games online for free. This group meets on Mondays at 4:00 pm. Interested students should sign up here.
MSCR Up First is a new afterschool group for students who enjoy discussing current events and politics and learning ways to get involved in the issues they care about. Up First meets on Thursdays at 4:00 pm on Zoom. Interested students should sign up here.
In addition to these programs for La Follette students, MSCR offers a variety of virtual and in-person programs to the entire Madison community. Please visit mscr.org or follow MSCR on social media for more information.

Wednesday, February 17th is Random Act of Kindness Day. From now until March 1, perform an act of kindness and then tell us about it using this google form. Anyone who completes the form will be included in a drawing for gift cards. Gift cards will be mailed after March 1.
