REFLECTIONS

"Can I read you my Reflections entry?"

"Sure!" I said, listening in awe as my child read a short poem inspired by the theme "Accepting Imperfection," offering a thoughtful insight into the divide between social media and the real world.

Through art and creative expression, many students communicate on a deeper level—offering perspectives that help us, as parents, better understand their experiences.

The Reflections deadline has been extended! Connect with your child and see if they’d like to reflect, express, and enter the competition for a chance to win prizes and recognition.

Please refer to our last newsletter for more information about the program.

UNITED WAY DANCE - Friday, October 18

What a great way to celebrate the end of the grading period! Our school will host an in-school dance for our students while supporting United Way tomorrow during the last block. $5 Cash for tickets, on sale in the morning and at lunch outside cafeteria. Snacks and drinks available for purchase with cash while supplies last.

WEAR ORANGE - Tuesday, October 22

One of our school colors, orange, is strongly associated with optimism, happiness, visibility, success, and determination. This Tuesday, our students are invited to wear orange as we celebrate a Day of Unity.

Together, we stand against bullying by encouraging our Lancers to be upstanders, not bystanders. Let’s show our commitment to kindness and support for one another.

#LancersLearnLoveLead

RED RIBBON WEEK - Wear RED Tuesday, October 29

"Red Ribbon Week inspires our kids to be HAPPY, to be BRAVE, and to be DRUG-FREE".

Please join our nation's largest and longest running drug-use prevention campaign which we will kick off on Wednesday October 23! Have the conversations needed and encourage your middle schoolers to wear red on Tuesday, October 29 to support the campaign.
