**Welcome Back, Palmetto Families!**

We hope you all had a fantastic summer and are excited for the upcoming school year. We are thrilled to invite you to our Parent Orientation on August 13 at 7pm. Before the orientation, join us for tours of our new Palmetto Walls, starting at 6pm. These curated murals by artists from around the world are a testament to our commitment to creativity and community.

We also extend a warm welcome to our new students and their families! You are invited to walk through our building using the schedules available on the portal. This is a wonderful opportunity to familiarize yourselves with the school, making the first day exciting and easing any anxieties.

As we embark on another year, we look forward to living out our pillars of learning, loving, and leading, and helping our students excel in every way. Let’s make this school year extraordinary together!

Welcome to Deanne Boyd, our new Assistant Principal

Mrs. Deanne Boyd joins Palmetto Middle School as Assistant Principal after a thirteen-year tenure at Leewood K-8 Center. With a nineteen-year dedication to education, she brings five years of experience in this role to foster student success. Holding a Bachelor's degree from Florida State University, a Master's from Florida International University, and a Specialist degree from the University of Florida, Mrs. Boyd possesses a strong academic background. Balancing a successful career with parenthood, she is a committed educator and devoted mother of two.

Have you bought your middle schooler our brand new PJ pants yet? PJ pant days are always wildly popular with students, but students can only participate this year if they are wearing our custom PJ pants.
