Watch D.O.G.S. Dinner & Orientation - this Thursday!

There's still time to RSVP for our Watch D.O.G.S. Dinner & Orientation this Thursday, October 6th at 6:00PM. Here's a chance for fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other positive role models to get involved! Attendance is free - students are welcome to accompany their Watch D.O.G.S. RSVP

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THE NEXT PTSA MEETING

Thanks to everyone who attended our first General PTSA meeting in September. Our next meeting is on October 20th at 9:15 a.m. in the school auditorium. We hope to see you there.

There is still time to purchase a membership or even upgrade your current membership level. Those who join within the first 60 days will be entered into a drawing for prizes - see membership form for details! Drawing winners will be selected on October 17th.

Your PTSA Membership is not tied to any volunteer commitments, but rather a way to support the programs & activities the PTSA provides. With General Obligation Bond (GOB) construction in full swing, we are also raising funds to support the purchase of computers for our new computer labs!

Last week we sent out a link for the National PTA School of Excellence

Survey. If you haven't filled it out yet, here's your chance. Click here for the brief survey.

We need your help in completing this survey to be considered for renewal of the National PTA School of Excellence designation for 2022-2024. Thank you for your feedback!

This survey will close October 21st.

2022-2023 NATIONAL PTA REFLECTIONS CONTEST

Deadline to enter: November 4th

Calling all Lancers! Students are invited to participate in the 2022-2023 National PTA Reflections contest by submitting their best art, music, dance choreography, writing, film, and photography that best represents this year's theme - Show Your Voice!

BOWLS & BURRITOS FOR A GOOD CAUSE

On Wednesday, October 12th, join us at Chipotle on 122nd Street and US1. From 4-8 pm, the PTSA will get 33% of your purchases. Head over right after school or stop by later to grab some food for dinner.

PTSA Pizza Wednesday is October 19th after school!

NOV. 8TH: HEAD TO THE POLLS TO RENEW THE "SECURE OUR FUTURE" REFERENDUM

Miami-Dade County Public Schools is presenting voters with a referendum renewal that will appear on the November 8 election ballot.

These funds will allow for the continuation of improvements made to the compensation of teachers as a result of the 2018 referendum approved by the voters, which is set to expire June 30, 2023. This is an issue critical to recruiting and retaining exceptional teachers.

The funds will also continue to be used to improve student safety and school security. Click here for more information.

Sign-up to join our PTSA Volunteer database and receive email notifications of volunteer opportunities throughout the school year. NO commitment is required - volunteer as little or as much as you are available.

Interested in helping with a particular program or event? Check out our 2022-2023 Standing Committee directory for a list. We will be discussing this at our first PTSA Meeting & Volunteer Orientation.
