Earlier this month, a town hall meeting in New York turned into a celebration when the extraordinary bequest of John Hendrickson (pictured right) was revealed. The late owner of Whitney Park completely surprised his many neighbors by designating the Town of Long Lake as the sole beneficiary of the net proceeds from the sale of his 36,600-acre Adirondack estate.
