Urban Renewal Plans in Boston:

What Will the Expiration of Those Plans Mean

for Real Estate Practice in Boston?

Please join the REBA Land Use & Zoning Section for a webinar at 12 noon on Tuesday, September 27th.

 

Boston has 12 Urban Renewal Plans that will expire by their terms on March 31, 2023. This webinar roundtable will discuss the legal, title, and practical effects of the expiration of these plans, including as to parcels owned by the Boston Planning & Development Agency; existing deed restrictions, and land disposition and regulatory agreements; and the zoning status of parcels that have been developed under an urban renewal overlay area if there is no longer a corresponding urban renewal plan for such area.
