Project Update Oct. 6, 2023

The front entrance/walkway to our new GVCO Community Center got dressed up this week! We had our first ever GVCO Caring Hands community service workday. Pictured are some volunteers preparing the flower beds along the walk where shrubs, sod and flowers were planted. Thank you to all those from the community who helped make this happen.

The entire property got seeded and mulched with straw. There will be green grass popping up in the coming weeks. Thanks goes out to Aquilante Industries, Charlestown Paving and Great Valley Propane who spent a couple of days out at Bacton Hill Rd.

At the same time inside the building, the floor has been installed and court lines for basketball and pickleball are complete!

Financing the new

GVCO Community Center

It's time for everyone in our Great Valley community to GIVE BACK. The community's support over the past six years has been tremendous [Donor List 8/31]. Let's finish what we started, paying off the debt and moving forward with the next phase of the project. To do this, the support must continue and be more broad based.

We are asking for help from the entire Great Valley private, public and business community.

Do You Match?

Much of the success of any capital campaign comes from Employer Matching Gift Programs. Most corporations have a a matching gift program which enables you to have twice the impact with your contribution.

To date, we have received over $130,000 in matching gifts towards our new GVCO Community Center.

For this first phase of the project, if we could simply raise that same level of employer matching gifts, it would allow us to nearly pay for the entire plumbing in the building or all of the windows and doors.

We have compiled a list of corporations that historically have had Matching Gift Programs. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to execdirector@gvco.org and we will be glad to assist you.
