Landshark Transport LLC (“Landshark”), which is owned by Trey Waterloo and Bradley Lum announces the completion of a credit facility provided by Enhanced Capital Mississippi Fund. For the Mississippi based over-the-road transportation company, this funding allows for the immediate expansion of Landshark’s refrigerated fleet to better service temperature controlled routes for clients.
The financing facility was made available through an innovative financing program through the Mississippi Development Authority called the Mississippi Small Business Investment Company (MSBIC) program. The program targets investment in Mississippi-based businesses with 100 employees or less and targets primarily debt investments between $500,000 and $2,000,000. Enhanced Capital Mississippi Fund (ECMF) is a participant in the program and Grits Capital of Jackson is manager of the Fund.
Trey Waterloo, co-owner of Landshark, stated, “this infusion of patient capital came at a critical time for our business. We had more client demand than our existing fleet could service, plus some outstanding drivers lined up to take advantage of our $50,000+ jobs.” Additionally Waterloo stated, “with our relatively short operating history, high-growth, early-stage companies like Landshark are tough for commercial banks to provide capital, which makes us thankful for Mississippi Development Authority and Grits Capital for allowing us to continue growing and providing more Mississippi jobs."
