Lane Closure I-10 Eastbound & Westbound

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a lane closure along the outside lanes of I-10 Eastbound and Westbound from 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.18, 2025 to 5 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. This closure will be in the Eastbound and Westbound Lanes of I-10 from approximately Kirkman Street and the Calcasieu River Bridge.

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for crews to conduct coring for pavement evaluations.

Detour Routes

• From LA-171: Continue Straight to Opelousas Street Intersection. Turn right on to Opelousas Street to the I-10 Entrance ramp along Jake Street.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
