Road Closure: I-10 Westbound

(Mile Marker 26 – Mile Marker 25) - Calcasieu Parish 

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces an extension of the nightly left lane closure to be extended through Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026. Closure will begin in the left lane at Exit 26, U.S-90, and end at Exit 25, I-210.  

Closures will exclude Saturdays. If work is held on Friday night, closure will begin at 9 p.m. and end at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.  

Work will be conducted weather permitting.

The closure is necessary for the removal of high-tension cable barriers and saw cutting shoulder for roadway widening.  

Safety reminder:

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
