Lane Closure Calcasieu Parish

CALCASIEU PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the left lane of I-10 Westbound near Milepost 31 (between the Bilbo Street overpass to the Calcasieu River Bridge). This will take place between the hours of 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to 5 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025.

The Kirkman Street on-ramp to I-10 will be closed during this time.

Detour information:

Motorists can detour via Church Street and Lakeshore Drive to access I-10 WB.

The closure is necessary for crews to perform repairs to the guardrail and overhead street lighting. All work is weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
