Civil Rights Icon Ruby Bridges Visits Lansing
|
|
The event, a sold-out crowd of 1,500 attendees, resonated with the spirit of unity and justice that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. championed. Keynote speaker Ruby Bridges delivered an impactful address, leaving a lasting impression on all who were present. The musical talents of Pastor Donnie McClurkin, Wintley Phipps, and the MLK Dream Orchestra added a soulful and uplifting dimension to the celebration.

LEAP Business Accelerator Program Applications Now Open
|
|
The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) has announced a new business accelerator program, Ascend! The program involves empowering, refining, enhancing and scaling 8 Hispanic and Latino businesses in a 6-month accelerator program. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs who are looking to take their businesses to the next level.

The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) with the support from the PNC Foundation and in partnership with Best Practice Consulting Solutions, launched Elevate: Black Business Accelerator Program, an entrepreneurial support program focused on revenue, profitability, and prominence. Elevate’s main goal is to help Black business owners improve and maximize operational efficiency and heighten business sophistication to drive increased profitability and revenue.
