The fall is here and we are hard at work. Our new staff for our
Read, Think, Share mentoring program is busy hiring, training and supervising the hundreds of college students that work with low-income adolescents in Massachusetts and New Mexico.
Speaking of New Mexico, our three staff are hard at work presenting our
Blueprint for Success program at seven high schools on the Navajo Nation. This year-long program continues to grow, as we continue to focus on college readiness for low-income Native American youth.
As always, we are donating lots of books to schools, libraries, and outreach programs.
It's an exciting and fun time. Thanks for being a part of it.
Best,
David Mazor Founding Executive Director

Navajo High School Students Explore College Options
Martha Hughes, one of our three great Navajo Outreach Coordinators, took 74 Wingate High School students to the College Fair in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It was an exciting day as students explored a host of college and universities.
All three of our Outreach Coordinators are hard at work helping students prepare for the ACT college entrance exam, and helping hundreds of Navajo high school students prepare for college.
Our three staff are all based in New Mexico where they bring our Blueprint for Success program to seven high schools on the Navajo Nation.

Laptops Donated to Ugandan Organization
Laptops from Reader to Reader have arrived in Uganda.
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with Step Up Uganda, a small all-volunteer organization that engages members of the local community who have suffered through 20 years of war with the Lord's Resistance Army to rebuild their community, to heal from the trauma of war and poverty and to develop the capacity of its medical providers to prevent and reduce infant and maternal mortality.
The organization is located in an impoverished region with few resources and many threats to health and well-being, such as malaria, dysentery, dengue fever.
The computers are being used by local health workers to access up-to-date health information.

Read, Think, Share program.
Recent college graduates, Eleah Wilkerson and Zelda-Mazor-Freedman, spend their days working with our over 200 college student reading mentors, conducting trainings, and supervising mentor student correspondence.
Oh, and they love to bake, a sure way to get our mentors to stop by the office!
