"Dark House Security Check"

With the summer season upon us, the Larchmont police department would like to encourage residents who will be traveling to utilize our “Dark House” security check. This form when completed will let us know that your residence will be vacated and officers will do periodic checks to ensure your house is safe and secure. This form is available on the village website, by clicking the link here, or by stopping at the Larchmont police department in person.

4th of July Safety Tips

The Larchmont Fire Department would like to encourage all of our residents to attend a public display for the upcoming 4th of July Celebrations instead of attempting to produce a show on your own. This will help to significantly reduce the risk of injuries and property damage. For further information about the legal sale and use of sparklers please see the information here, provided by the NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services.

Spotlight on your Emergency Services Personnel

Every month, we will be featuring one member from our Police and Fire Departments to help our residents get to know us better. To kickstart our campaign is Lieutenant John Adams from the Larchmont Fire Department!

Lieutenant Adams has been with our department since June of 2014, when he transferred from the City of Beacon Fire Department. John is currently the department's MTO, Municipal Training Officer, which is the individual in charge of all training for the firefighters. He has held the position of Treasurer and President for the Larchmont Professional Firefighters Association, and is currently their Vice President.

Want to know more about our Police and Fire Departments? In the coming weeks, our Village website will be updated with the latest information. In addition, if you are on social media, you can check out the Official Larchmont Fire Department Facebook here.
