Aug. 2, 2018

I'm on the road this week, traveling around Wisconsin visiting friends and family, so this week's newsletter will be brief.

The folks at  Blackmagic Design asked me to review their new eGPU for the latest MacBook Pro laptops. I was able to get this review done before hitting the road - you'll find it in the Articles section below.

Also, I created two special pages on my website: the first provides a collection of
favorite or important articles that I think you'll find useful. The second looks at
editing as a business and what you need to know to make a success of it. This second page is especially helpful as a planning tool for people thinking about editing as a career. Feel free to share this page with students or others thinking about making a career change. I have links to both of these in the Articles section below.

Webinars are on hiatus until September, but our latest webinar - Color Correction and Grading in Final Cut Pro X - is now available in both my store and library. I encourage you to take a look at it. You'll find all the details on what this covers here.

The Digital Production Buzz had a fascinating show this last week - we took a long look at lighting. Camera technology and LEDs are driving a revolution in lighting tools and technology. I encourage you to listen to the show - some of the work that's going on now is pretty amazing. Listen to the show here.

That's about it for now - I'll be back to work next week. In the meantime edit well .

Webinars Taking an August Break
Webinars are taking a summer break for August.

We'll return in September, but webinars won't be on a Wednesday.

In the meantime, we have hundreds of hours of training on both Adobe and Apple products in our store.

Take a look - I'm sure you'll find something you'd like to learn.
