May 1, 2017

Well, NAB is over and I'm exhausted.

If you want to know how I spent my week at NAB, take a look here: 27 hours of live programming, with interviews from almost 100 industry leaders. We covered everything from production to post to the latest trends in our industry.

When you visit the website, you'll see all the shows, along with a list of who was in each one. We've also posted more than 60 individual interviews with the rest of the interviews going up by the end of this week. This is a fascinating collection of products, guests, opinions and discussion on the future of our industry.

NOTE: If you don't have a lot of time, just listen to the Highlights shows. These collected the best interviews and put them in one place. The Thursday night show contains highlights, as well.

A very large tip of the hat to Steven W. Roth, executive producer, and Debbie Price, series producer, for the hard work necessary to make these webcasts possible. Plus, a great production team at the show backing me up to create all these programs.

My lead story today is a reflection of the trends I saw at NAB. We saw updates from Avid, Apple, Adobe and Blackmagic Design - a lot of interest in streaming, storage and The Cloud, plus all kinds of new technology. It was an exciting show.

Webinars are on hold this week - I need to collect my thoughts and think about what I want to cover in the coming weeks. If you haven't had a chance to view the session covering the new features in Adobe software, I recommend you take a look.

The news team at DoddleNEWS was working overtime during NAB covering the new announcements. I have included a three of their summary articles looking at NAB as well.

I'm interested in your thoughts on the important trends at NAB - feel free to share them as comments to my article.  I look forward to chatting with you again next week, in the meantime, I'm going back to my nap.

Edit well.

The Newest Features in
Adobe's Creative Cloud Software
Last week, Adobe announced and released updates for all their Creative Cloud media software including:

* Adobe Premiere Pro CC
* Adobe After Effects CC
* Adobe Audition CC
* Adobe Media Encoder CC
* Adobe Character Animator

I had the opportunity to work with a pre-release version of the software prior to its release, in order to create this webinar. In it I showcase all the major updates in each software, then illustrates how many of them work.
