Lars Jacob Wingshooting Is Hosting Several High Volume Shoots
In The Northeast For The 2020/21 Season!

Lars Jacob Wingshooting is working with a handful of shooting preserves in New England and New York in hosting several single day and multi day shoots. These shoots will include ducks, partridge, pheasant, quail & clays. Multi day shoots will include accommodations and dining. The season will run through the fall and winter. The first is Sept. 23rd & 24th which will feature an afternoon of flighted mallard and a morning continental with pheasant & partridge. Call Lars, (802)289-2002, or email for more info.
Because of the craziness known as the year 2020, a lot of our play time this fall will be in our backyards. Long distance travel is a real pain and a high percentage of the UK estates are limiting their days and bird counts or closing for the season completely.
The thing is, we still have these cravings for tweed, cigars, whisky, fine guns, dogs, feathers, etc. that we need to feed.

Dates & Locations For 2020
It was always thought that wing shooting was something you were naturally good at or not. The truth of the matter is it is a sport like any other and with practice, gun fit & good tuition you will significantly up your game.  

In the middle of the beautiful Lake Champlain Valley is Shoreham, Vermont and home to Peaceable Hill Farm. Peaceable Hill is owned and run by Glenn & Judy Symon. It is also the home base for the LJ Roving Syndicate for driven pheasant & partridge, and the Lars Jacob Wingshooting Schools.
Peaceable Hill Farm is 55 minutes North of the Lars Jacob Wingshooting Showroom in Dorset, VT. LJW offers half day schools, full day schools and specialty 2 day driven bird schools with descriptions and dates below:

Half Day School
  • 8 Students max, 3 students minimum.
  • Start @ 9:00 AM with 30 minute introduction.
  • Two shooting instruction sessions with a 15 minute break in between.
  • 12:30 lunch followed by departure.
  • $375.00 Per student.
  • Includes use of a LJW gun, lunch and eye & ear protection.
  • 50% deposit at time of reservation.
  • Dates - June: 12, 13, 19 - July: 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 31 - August:12, 13, 27 - September: 2, 9 - October: 1, 27, 29.

Full Day School

2 Day Wingshooting School With Live Driven Bird
  • 6 Students max.
  • First day.
  • Start @ 9:00 AM with 30 minute introduction.
  • Two morning sessions working on high & low driven and quartering presentation with a 15 minute break in between.
  • 12:30 Lunch.
  • Two afternoon sessions starting at 1:00 with a 15 minute break in between.
  • 3:30 Questions & answers.
  • 4:00 Departure.
  • Second day.
  • Start @ 9:00 AM with a 30 minute recap of the day before.
  • One 90 minute session with introduction of working with a loader (pair of guns) or stuffer (single gun).
  • 11:00 Live pheasant drive of 30 birds per gun, two frames with instruction on one of the many delightful driven courses at Peaceable Hill Farm.
  • 12:30 lunch and then departure
  • $1795.00 Per student.
  • Includes use of a LJW gun, lunches, eye & ear protection, ammo and 30 pheasant.
  • Dates: September 28th & 29th, October 15th & 16th

Hausmann’s Hidden Hollow Sporting Clays is located in northeastern Pennsylvania. It is in the beautiful Endless Mountains of Susquehanna County, 18 miles west of Montrose (County Seat) and 18 miles south of Vestal, New York. Situated on 110 acres of rolling hills with a variety of cover and terrain.
Hausmann's Hidden Hollow is the testing grounds for RST Shotshells and offers tremendous variety of presentations. LJW offers full day schools as well as private instructions and gun fittings. Descriptions and dates below:

  • $225.00 per 90 minute lesson for up to two students, $250.00 for 3 students.
  • 60 Minute individual live round gun fittings.
  • Over/Under and Side by Side try guns used.
  • Live ammo shot at pattern board.
  • $375.00 per fitting.
  • Includes ammo, eye & ear protection.
  • Dates - June 27, July 25, August 22.

September 16th, 17th, 18th & 19th

Lars Jacob Wingshooting will be at the Vintage Gunner's Cup offering gun sales, gun fittings and private hourly lessons. 60 minute lessons are $175.00 one or two students. Gun fittings are $375.00.

The Ten Mile River Preserve (“TMRP”) is a private membership club for the outdoor enthusiast. Located on the Eastern border of Dutchess County, just 84 miles from Mid-town Manhattan TMRP offers hunting, fishing and sporting clays for its members and their guests surpassed by none.
The property consists of over 3,000 acres of upland hunting fields, and hardwood ridges doted with conifer swamps and cover to provide a haven for furred and feathered animals. The TMRP landscape also incorporates 200 acres of lakes, and 3.5 miles of the Ten Mile River which flows thru the middle of the club.
