American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer Las Vegas Golf Classic 2023 E-Update

May 2023│Issue No. 5

“Watching coaches use their platform to save lives is inspiring. They don’t have to do it, they choose to. That’s the key to this event and it’s powerful to see in action.”

We hope you had fun in Las Vegas earlier this month. More importantly, we hope you felt the impact of saving lives.

Coaches vs. Cancer started over 30 years ago. Since that time, the American Cancer Society’s efforts have contributed to a 33 percent decline in the cancer death rate in the US. That’s nearly 3.8 million cancer deaths averted.

Because of your generosity of time and money, someone will get to hug a cancer survivor today. And we hope you will remember that when it’s time to return again next year for one of Coaches vs. Cancer’s signature events - the Las Vegas Golf Classic

“We’ve had the opportunity to see the Classic grow from its first year and we haven’t missed one. But as impressive as the growth of the event has been, what’s more impressive is hearing the stories and data each year about more lives being saved. The golf is unbelievable and Las Vegas is the perfect setting, but we are here to beat cancer. Everyone involved is helping us do that.”

“Great event, better people. We love being a part of the Coaches vs. Cancer team and the Las Vegas Golf Classic. Congrats to all who made it a success once again. Cancer impacts all of us. Let’s keep this fight going. We’re going to win.”

“Raising money in the fight against cancer is so important. It is great to be able to do so here while showcasing the great city of Las Vegas. There is no better place in the world to host an event like the Classic. We look forward to having all the coaches and golfers back next year - and every year until the fight is finished.”
