American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer Las Vegas Golf Classic 2025 E-Update

June 2025│Issue No. 8

That’s a wrap on another unforgettable Las Vegas Golf Classic! Thanks to your generosity and support, this year’s event raised over $1.6 million in support of the American Cancer Society’s mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. That brings our all-time total to an incredible $16.5 million raised since 2008 - a testament to what we can do when we come together.

While we enjoyed championship-level golf on some of Las Vegas’s finest courses, the true victory was off the greens: providing critical funding for advocacy, research, and patient support that directly impacts people facing cancer and their families.

Every dollar raised fuels progress. Every swing on the course takes us closer to a world without cancer. Because of you, we’re saving lives. Thank you.

Coach Kruger, CvC Las Vegas Golf Classic and the Dormie Network have teamed up for a game-changing partnership!

The American Cancer Society does not endorse any products or services.

The Classic might be over, but you can still turn your passion for golf into lifesaving change through this exclusive Dormie Network offer! With an additional $10K donation, you can secure one-year full member access to seven unique clubs, all under a single dues structure.

A Memorable Classic 2025

Thank you to Tim Quesenberry of Que Images and his team for

sharing your talent and capturing the great times in Vegas.

Monday night was yet another unforgettable affair as we heard from Brandi Ellis and Dr. Stephani Christensen from Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada about Brandi's experience as a breast cancer survivor, reminding us all of the importance of the mission that brings us together year after year.

As the evening festivities ramped up we were treated to - or even participated in - a rousing night of karaoke performances. From ESPN’s Sean Farnham and Dalen Cuff serenading Coaches vs. Cancer senior director Natalie Morrison, to a truly “you have to see it to believe it” 90s rap medley from none other than Xs & Os of Success' D.J. Allen, it was an extraordinary night of hope, celebration, and community.

2026 Dates to Be Announced Soon!

Familiar names atop the leaderboard

at 2025 Classic

NextGen Cattle Co. Oklahoma. Findlay Auto. Xs & Os of Success. These names are synonymous with the Coaches vs. Cancer Las Vegas Golf Classic - and last month, all captured titles at the 2025 event. As did two retired head coaches - Belmont’s Rick Byrd and Washburn women’s coach Ron McHenry.

Sooner Stickmen (Danny Heatly, Ron Clark, Tyler Woodward and Bo Overton) captured the gross title at Shadow Creek one year after winning the gross title at Cascata. Findlay Madness Golf Challenge (Joe Fortunato, Joe Carroll, Tim McFadden and Brian Short) won the net title at Shadow Creek after qualifying for the Classic by winning an 8-team Findlay Auto feeder tournament which raised dollars for Coaches vs. Cancer.

At Cascata, LV Classic legend Derek Thompson gave a stirring opening address to golfers before the round and then his NextGen Cattle Co. (joined by Damon Thompson, Sam Wempe and coach Ron McHenry) went out and captured the gross title. For the second year in a row, Xs & Os of Success (Mike Turner, Walt Denison, Daniel Allen and Dale Eeles) won a net title.

At TPC Summerlin, OU Peak Integration (Sean Boyd, Cory Smith, Mark Baumann, Bryson Lance and Dominic Orozco) captured first gross while Belmont (coach Rick Byrd, Danny Duvall, Mark Barrett and Tommy Sidwell) won the net title.
