Why the picture of this guy above?   So, for many years Ed Adams had a controlling arm on Laser Fleet 413.  He was, for a long time, the guy to beat and in his own special way he was the person challenging others to reach for the top.  Proof that this fleet and this dingy are hotbeds of competitive spirit are shown in his Gold and Bronze Medals in World Championship Laser Competitions.

While I am not going to try and list all of his accomplishments, I will mention that this Saturday November 5th Ed will be inducted into the National Sailing Hall of Fame.  He will join fellow Fleet 413 member Lynne Shore (2021) and Laser designer Bruce Kirby (2012).  Read our archived Words Of Wisdom to find some of Ed's thoughts on how to tackle a Sunday sailing.  Congratulations Ed!!
