Failla Cellar Event
Thursday, October 19th
Join us in our cellar for an unforgettable wine tasting with Cat Fairchild of the iconic, cool climate, Sonoma winery Failla.

"Simply put, Failla is a reference point winery for the Sonoma Coast. This is as good as it gets."
-Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media.
Failla is the project of winemaker Ehren Jordan, focusing on cool climate sites in the Sonoma Coast and world class vineyards in Oregon. Ehren's worked his way up the vertical integration ladder for wineries such as Joseph Phelps, Turley, Neyers, and at Jean-Luc Colombo's Cornas winery "Les Ruchets". Ehren started Failla in 1998 and later Day Zinfandel in 2011. He has paved an influential path in winemaking with his long resume of notable winemaking and viticulture jobs, leading to the honor of Winemaker of the Year in 2008 and continual high scores from critics.
Since Failla's first vintage, Ehren Jordan has made exceptional wines using biodynamic practices. Today, Failla has 11 acres of estate vines and has steadily acquired key vineyard sources from the Occidental Ridge, Hirsch, Peay, Savoy, and Platt Vineyards. More recently, Failla has been expanding north to Oregon, where they are now getting fruit from the Seven Springs Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills of the WIllamette Valley. They have also purchased an Oregon winery, Patton Valley Vineyards in Gaston, as well as 30 acres of vineyard land in the Laurelwood District on sandy, windblown basalt soils.
Your $35 tickets earns you $20 towards your purchase of Ehren Jordan's wines!

Cocktail of the Week: Coffee & TV
This is an original cocktail. I was thinking I would do something that has a little fall flavor with some Calvados, coffee liqueur, and an amaro for a little extra oomph. You don't see a ton of cocktails with Calvados and coffee liqueur, but they go together really well. I will be using one of my favorite Calvados to sip on, Boulard. Then I am picking Du Nord Coffee Liqueur (a local favorite) and Nardini Amaro. Coffee and TV is the name of a Blur song from the late 90's, and songs make great cocktail names!
Ingredients:
1.5oz Boulard Calvados
1 oz Du Nord Coffee Liqueur
.5 oz Nardini Amaro

Instructions:
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass, add ice, stir it up and garnish with and orange peel.
Cheers,
Nikola
VERY IMPORTANT - Furry Friend Visits!
Cheers, Everyone!

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
