Today marks my one-year anniversary with the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce. When I accepted this role, I knew my first year would be one of transition. My focus was not to arrive with all the answers, but to listen, learn, and become immersed in the community. I spent the past year meeting business leaders, community partners, members, and residents to better understand what makes Alpena unique and what matters most to those who call it home.
What I discovered is a community filled with passion, resilience, and a shared desire to see Alpena thrive.
As I begin my second year, I believe we are ready to transition from listening and learning to taking action. The relationships built and insights gained over the past year have created a strong foundation for moving forward with purpose. I am excited to work alongside our members and partners to turn ideas into impact, strengthen our business community, and help create new opportunities for growth throughout our region.
