Greetings!
Thank you everyone who conspired with Rev. Craig and the Board of Directors to surprise me with well wishes and greetings for my 5th anniversary as Senior Pastor of MCC Tampa. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the love and caring that I felt from our church family on Sunday. Pastoring during a pandemic is not easy, and your kindness truly fed my soul. Thank you!
I also want to thank everyone who participated in our Annual Congregational Forum this past Sunday! We will have our Annual Congregational Meeting this Sunday, September 27, at noon. If you plan to attend and have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible. If you registered for the Forum, you are already registered for the Annual Meeting and you do not need to register again.
At the Annual Meeting we will vote for new members to our Board of Directors, we will approve our annual budget, and we will conduct other essential church business, including receiving reports from the COVID-19 Response Team and others in our church leadership. Only members can vote in the Annual Meeting, but anyone may attend.
This meeting will be held on Zoom. We will send out the link to attend the meeting by Saturday afternoon, to all who are registered. As an added security measure, the link will be sent out separately from the auto-reply meeting registration confirmation. This will help ensure we do not have “zoom bombers” or other security concerns.
Thank you for helping us conduct the important business of the church, even during these times of social distancing. I look forward to seeing your faces on the Zoom screen on Sunday. I wait with eager anticipation for the day when we can safely be together again in our sanctuary.
